Road work ahead

City Scene

July 8, 2016
Matt Alcazar - Engineering Tech/Project Coordinator (malcazar@webstercity.com) , OurHomeTownWebsterCity.com

As many of you have seen the summer construction season is in full swing here in Webster City, with full depth street replacement on East Second Street and Naden Addition it may or may not have impacted you directly.

These projects included underground work to update the existing utilities under the new road, almost all of the utilities are completed and you will see in a few weeks concrete being poured on both projects. This is a very exciting milestone to have the concrete being poured, however I caution that the contractors still have a lot more work to accomplish before they will be completed with both of these projects.

Something to look forward to seeing at these projects is the traffic signs changing to allow you to have a smoother commute through the projects on portions of new concrete streets.

These projects will not be fully complete until sometime mid to late fall this year. You will be able to tell when the contractor is getting close to done when you see the curb and sidewalk areas being seeded.
